The Hampstead Rugby Football Club was established in 1925, and has a proud heritage in the local community.  Hampstead RFC is one of five sporting disciplines that make up The HAMPSTEAD RUGBY AND ALL SPORTS CLUB in Ashburton. The other sports which make up our club are netball, hockey, softball and lawn bowls.

An integral part of the social fabric of the local community, the club provides a source of optimism and pride for members, players and supporters. With a strong focus on providing a welcoming community for new arrivals to the Mid Canterbury area - the club has a strong Pacific Island component.

The club focuses on three core values of Fun, Family and Respect. This means that new members and families are always welcome which has helped the club grow and prosper over recent years. The club has strong numbers in the junior grades and the Senior B team has a proud and passionate following.

Based at the Hampstead Rugby and All Sports Club on the eastern side of Ashburton, Hampstead boasts excellent training facilities and clubrooms, which is a base for many families each Saturday as they support the club in all sporting endeavours.
